Panchkula District Cricket Association granted affiliation to Shri Shri Cricket Academy functioning at DC Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, on Monday. Addressing a press conference at a hotel in Panchkula, Sandeep Moudgill, secretary of the association, lauded the efforts of the academy and granted affiliation to it.Moudgill said the affiliation of the academy will give a boost to cricket in the region and the association is looking towards granting affiliation to more and more academies."We have been on the look out for such academies and we have granted the affiliation to Shri Shri Academy. Similarly, other academies in the city like Hansraj Cricket Academy and Bhawan Cricket Academy are doing good and we will soon look into the matter of granting affiliation to them," said Moudgill.Emphasising that the association is keen to upgrade the infrastructure and coaching facilities, Moudgill said the association will take all the necessary action to promote the game."We have two qualified coaches with A level certificates from BCCI and we are working towards upgrading the infrastructure in the district for the junior as well as senior players," said Moudgill.
