New Delhi, July 5 -- As the aam aadmi was hit by the nationwide strike called by opposition parties against rising fuel prices in varying degrees in various parts of the country, the netizens responded to the crippling affects of the bandh on Facebook and Twitter. Surfers were more or less against the strike pointing out how public property was attacked, patients suffered and everyday life was disrupted due to the agitation. Yogesh Ahuja on the Hindustan Times account commented: how does this solve anything? the common man still suffers... and because he/she does not earn his aamdani today.. he has to work even harder.... shameful politics... Tanvi Butan said shamefull............:(....public, destorin public proprty..... and Cma Abhishek wrote these things should be stopped ... lots of people suffers , patients important work ... Others picked on the politics of the Bandh. Sabiha Tajir said this is all political gimmicks................ and nothing else ... while Anuj Bajaj commented that "its all disgusting....................................................... bjp and other parties playing political card................................................" While netizens like Swapnil Patil and Prachi Mishra said that people need to agitate against the rising price. Patil wrote "but protest against price hike has to b done" and Mishra said "u need to get to the depth of price hike to find a solution....but band surely tells the government that "we won't accept the prices so easily"" Twitterati was also out in full force describing the scenes of chaos in their cities as the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) claimed that the Bharat Bandh was a success as it intensified in various parts of the country. Hindustan Times readers from all over the nation wrote about their plight. @ritzk15 from New Delhi said BJP workers have blocked Rajiv Chowk Metro station.. very inconvenient... while @kudratsehgal wrote Khanpur Bandh: Bus & car tyres deflated, stone pelting continues, cops say situation will be under control by 1pm. @anayash in Mumbai wrote Bharat bandh: Stones pelted at dozens of autos, buses in Mumbai. While in Jharkhand @A10za tweeted With 4bandhs in 7days, the future of Jharkhand is bandh. Amazd at the games r netas play in the name of aam aadmi. @akshay_khanna talked about Noida and said Factories in #Noida are open. Not affected by the #Bharat #India #bandh. @SumilVS was the only one in Mumbai who seemed to cull out something positive. He tweeted Andheri E,mumbai Deserted roads gvs a a playng ground fr th young crckt buffs! Omkarr in a Twitter response said - Mulund west, mumbai: no autos on road, BEST buses running. Another Mumbaikar @Luxwala tweeted - no rickshaws or taxis seen on the road in Bombay. @shadab5 from Thane said Ghodbunder Road deserted, No ST buses plying for Pune #ht #bandh. From Assam @holudbasanta said: It's complete bandh in Silchar(Assam). In New Delhi @chandni_jalan tweeted that Delhi Public School closed due to bandh! while @ravinder_dang said Mehrauli blocked in Delhi..huge jam. The NCR also saw the affect of the strike as @lokeshkhaneja tweeted Ryan Intl School, Faridabad closed due to Band.Reeling under the nationwide strike @rajivememem said: Nor am I a #BJP supporter nor #congress. I am common Indian I want to work and earn during #Bandh who will help.
