Anand, Jul 7 (PTI) Prices of Amul milk, marketed by Gujarat Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) in Gujarat, has been increased by Rs 2 per litre in the state following increase in prices of petrol, diesel and gas. "We would be increasing the milk prices by Rs 2 per litre in Gujarat from tomorrow," in-charge Managing Director of GCMMF, R S Sodhi told PTI. "The prices of Amul Gold and Shakti will increase by Rs 2 per litre while Amul Tazaa and Slim and trim, two low-fat varieties of milk, will be hiked by Re 1 per litre, in Gujarat," he said. He attributed the hike in milk prices to increasing cost of fuel like petrol, diesel and gas. With this hike, one litre Amul Gold and Shakti will now cost Rs 30 and Rs 28 per litre respectively while Amul Tazaa will cost Rs 24 per litre. This is the second hike in milk prices in 2010.
