New Delhi, Jul 19 (PTI) Senior IFS officer Ausaf Sayeed was today named as India''s next Ambassador to Yemen. The 1989-batch officer, currently serving as Joint Secretary (West Africa) in the Ministry of External Affairs, is expected to take up his new assignment shortly. Sayeed''s foreign assignment comes three years after his tenure in Jeddah where he was Consul General. Earlier, he had served in Indian missions in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Denmark in various capacities. PTI ETB AKK.
