Srinagar, Jul 6 (PTI) A constituent of the moderate Hurriyat Conference, Itehad-ul-Muslimeen, today refuted media reports that it has walked out of the amalgam, terming these as "baseless and unfounded". "We continue to be part and parcel of the Hurriyat and will continue to be so in future. Reports suggesting that we have parted ways are baseless and unfounded," Itehad president Masroor Abbas Ansari told PTI. Masroor is representing Itehad-ul-Muslimeen in the Hurriyat as an executive member for the past two years. "Vested interests want to weaken the Hurriyat and divide the people on sectarian grounds. But, people are mature enough and politically conscious to foil their nefarious designs," Masroor said.
