Ranchi, July 6 -- MS Dhoni: His marriage, which was kept a closely guarded secret, surprised several of his teammates, who were unaware about Dhoni's wedding, held on July 4, 2010. The ceremony was solemnised at Vishranti Resort, Dehradun, where Dhoni tied the knot with Sakshi Rawat. The reception is likely to be held in Mumbai, on July 7, coinciding with Dhoni's 29th birthday. Parthiv Patel: He tied the nuptial knot with Avni Zaveri, in Ahmedabad, on March 7, 2008. Incidentally, it was his 23rd birthday. Although cards were distributed, very few cricketers visited the wedding, which took place at Rajpath Club, Ahmedabad. The reception was held the next day, March 24, in a five star hotel. Dinesh Karthik: This wicketkeeper-batsman got married to Nikita on May 2, 2007. Both wedding and reception took place at Hotel Sea Princess in Mumbai. None of the teammates could attend the wedding as all of them were in the conditioning camp in Kolkata before the Bangladesh tour. Karthik too, joined the team for the Bangladesh tour that began on May 10, 2007. Virendra Sehwag: The nawab of Najafgarh married Aarti Ahlawat on April 22, 2004. The marriage ceremony was held at 9 Ashoka Road, Delhi amidst tight security. None of his teammates could be spotted. A reception was thrown two days later for his team members and friends in a five Star Hotel in Delhi.Rahul Dravid: Fondly known as Jammy, this resilient batsman tied the knot with Dr Vijeta Pendharkar, on May 04, 2003 in Nagpur. The reception was held the same day. Only family members and close friends were invited. A reception party was also thrown on May 10 at Nagpur, Vijeta's native place.
