Kochi, July 19 (PTI) With the five main accused in the lecturer attack case still at large, the state police will coordinate with intelligence agencies of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharastra to nab them. Police said the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the attack on a college lecturer whose right hand was chopped off allegedly by activists of a Muslim outfit, would coordinate with intelligence agencies of the four states to trace the accused. The sketches of two main accused in the case were yesterday released by the SIT, which has also issued look out notices against three others. Prof T J Joseph was attacked on July 4 allegedly by activists of Popular Front of India (PFI) at Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district for preparing a question paper containing "derogatory" references to Prophet Mohammed. Kerala DGP Jacob Punnose was here yesterday to discuss with the SIT officers the progress of the case. Meanwhile, the district administration has banned a march proposed to be taken out by PFI''s sister organisation -- National Women''s Front (NWF). NWF state General Secretary Raihanath today told reporters at nearby Aluva that banning the march is against "democratic norms". She alleged police was threatening women and children and entering their homes late night and questioning them. Police, however, said only houses of PFI activists and their sister organisations have been raided. Meanwhile, Joseph was recuperating after a surgery here, hospital sources said, adding he has been shifted to private ward from the Intensive Care Unit.
