New Delhi, Jul 19 (PTI) A Delhi court today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his brother-in-law following a dispute between the deceased and his sister. Additional Sessions Judge R K Gauba also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Raj Kumar alias Raju after holding him guilty of murder under the IPC. "The murder of Mukesh was committed in the heat of passion on account of matrimonial dispute between the deceased and the sister of the convict," the court said. According to the prosecution, Raju, along with his father Shankar Lal, and a minor brother, killed Mukesh at their home at Nabi Karim on May three, 2007. Mukesh had come to his in-laws'' place to bring back his wife but on the fateful date, a quarrel took place between the accused and the victim leading to his murder. Shankar Lal died during the trial. The convict''s younger brother, on the other hand, was being tried at a Juvenile Justice Board.
