Jammu, Jul 26 (PTI) Over 3.22 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas, while a new batch of 1,950 people today left from here for 3,888 metre high Lord Shiva cave shrine amid tight security arrangements. "Over 3.22 lakh pilgrims have had darshan of Ice Ligum of Lord Shiva at Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas," Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) officials said here today. "The yatra is going on smoothly. There has been no untoward incident reported from anywhere," they said. A total 1,950 Amarnath pilgrims, including 1,412 men, 318 women, 174 sadhus and 46 children, proceeded towards respective yatra base camps at Namwan (in Pahalgam) and Baltal in the Valley under tight security cover around 0400 hours from Bagwati Nagar camp here, PCR officials said. Over 2.95 lakh pilgrims have returned back to their home after performing darshan at the cave shrine.
