P&G``s India advertisement wins award at Cannes Ad Fest

New Delhi, June 24 (PTI) FMCG player Procter & Gamble today said its campaign launching the ''Gillette Mach 3 razor'' in India was recognised as one of the best ''PR-led Integrated Campaigns'' at the 57th Cannes International Advertising Festival. "We are delighted to see the Gillette WALS (Women Against Lazy Stubble) campaign being recognised with a Silver Lion at the Cannes Advertising Festival," P&G India (Associate Director and Head of External Relations) Shweta Shukla said in a statement. The company claimed this is the first time that an Indian firm has won a Lion in the PR category at the prestigious advertising festival. The campaign was led by PR agency Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick, ad agency BBDO and media buying agency Mediacom, the company said. "It is a delight that a PR-led campaign in India has created history by winning at Cannes for real transformational work done on a global brand like Gillette," Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick Chief Executive Officer Shiv Reddy said.
