Karnataka government felicitates Bopanna Bangaluru, Jul 7 (PTI) Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna was today felicitated by the Karnataka government for his outstanding performance at the just concluded Wimbledon championships. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedurappa felicitated Bopanna at a ceremony held at the Vidhana Soudha here for reaching the men''s doubles quarterfinals in the Wimbledon for the first time in his career along with Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. By virtue of the good showing, the Indian Davis Cupper has also achieved his career-best ranking of 38 in the doubles chart. "I am extremely grateful to the Government of Karnataka for this honour. It is a very humbling experience when you are complemented for your hard work and achievements in your own country. I am sure with the backing and support of the government, I can accomplish my professional dreams," Bopanna said on the occasion.
