Sugar remains weak on low demand

New Delhi, July 7 (PTI) Sugar prices fell further upto Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on adequate stocks position against low demand. Marketmen said low demand against adequate stocks position helped wholesale sugar prices to trade further lower. Sugar ready medium and second grade prices remained under selling pressure and lost another Rs 30 each to Rs 2,850-2,950 and Rs 2,840-2,940 per quintal. Similarly, mill delivery medium and second grade prices fell further by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,700-2,800 and Rs 2,690- 2,790 per quintal. Following are today''s rates in Rs per quintal: Sugar ready M-30 2,850-2,950 and S-30 2,840-2,940. Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,800 and S-30 2,690-2790. Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,775, Asmoli 2,790, Mawana 2,710, Titabi 2,700, Thanabhavan 2,690, Budhana 2,680 and Dorala 2,700.
