Mystery illness to keep Brit boxer Khan out for 4 months

London, Jul 7 (ANI): WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has been told to take rest for four months after contacting a mystery illness.Khan was at Bolton's Beaumont Clinic for two nights undergoing extensive tests before being released.He is clear of any viral infection but medics still do not know the cause of his problem, The Sun reports."Amir has been told by doctors to rest up as much as he possibly can. He has had a pretty tough schedule this year, with training and defending his world title," said Khan's business manager Asif Vali."He was also out in South Africa watching the World Cup and did extensive travelling getting to games," Vali said."Amir will be in Las Vegas to watch the fight between Juan Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez later this month. There is a chance that he will be fighting the winner of that bout," he added.Khan, scheduled to fight again on December 11, still plans to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca during Ramadan, which starts on August 11.
