Lahore, July 7(ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that it would work on the bowling action of 'suspended' off-spinner Javeria Wadood.Wadood has been suspended from playing international cricket by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for having an illegal bowling action."The PCB has studied the detailed report on Javeria's action. The PCB will now work on the matter internally by supervising remedial work on Javeria's action," The Daily Times quoted a PCB spokesman, as saying."After the corrective measures, the PCB will once again refer the matter to the ICC so that Javeria's action can eventually be cleared and she can resume playing for Pakistan," the spokesman added.A comprehensive ICC analysis had revealed that her action exceeded the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under the relevant regulations. The independent analysis by ICC Panel of Human Movement Specialists member Bruce Elliott showed that the amount of elbow extension in Wadood's bowling action for her off-break delivery was not within the 15-degree level of tolerance. The mean elbow extension was 29.3 degrees for the off-break.It added that when Wadood began to tire her mean elbow extension increased to 40.7 degrees for the off-break delivery.On-field umpires Rod Tucker and Marais Erasmus, and umpire Shahvir Tarapore had reported her action during Pakistan's Twenty20 World Cup against Sri Lanka.Wadood can apply for re-assessment of her action after she has modified it in accordance with clause 2.4 of the regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions.
