Tea stall owner stabbed to death over trivial reason

New Delhi, Jul 26 (PTI) A man working in a tea stall allegedly stabbed his employer to death with an ice-pick in north Delhi after he was refused advance payment of salary, police said today. Nagender Sharma (26) was stabbed multiple times allegedly by one of his helper Kalu at his residence in Shastri Nagar B-Block at around 10:30 pm yesterday, a senior police official said. Sharma stays in the ground floor of the house while other members of his family reside on the first floor. Sharma was rushed to a nearby hospital by his relatives but doctors declared him brought dead. "Kalu was angry with the victim as he wanted an advance on his salary. Sharma did not give him the money and this apparently led to the incident. With an ice-pick, he allegedly stabbed Sharma," the official said. Police has registered a case against Kalu and efforts are on to nab him.
