Hyderabad, July 13 (PTI) Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been critical of the party leadership and Chief Minister K Rosaiah, refrained from making any controversial statement during his yatra in East Godavari district today. Jagan, who hit out at Rosaiah on the last day of his yatra in Srikakulam district on Sunday for allegedly saying that he is in a hurry to become chief minister, toured the villages of East Godavari for the second day today. Congress MLAs in the district Raja Ashok Babu and R Varaprasad accompanied him during the yatra. "Ashok anna (brother) has been accompanying me without being concerned about whatever is said. I am indebted to him," Jagan said. Ashok Babu, Varaprasad, D Chandrasekhar Reddy and couple of other Congress MLAs in East Godavari had announced that they will support Jagan''s yatra in the district. Congress MP from Rajahmundry V Arun Kumar also met Jagan last night and he described his meeting as a courtesy call. Arun Kumar, who was close to late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and also the Congress high command, said few more MLAs in the district may join Jagan after the ongoing assembly session ended on July 15. Meanwhile, two Congress MLAs P Srikant Reddy and N Ramachandra Reddy, who are close to Jagan, alleged that some senior Congress leaders with vested interests are trying to create gulf between Jagan and the party high command. Jagan''s ''Odarpu yatra'' would help Congress in the long run, they claimed. Ramachandra Reddy said "they would support Jagan in whatever decision he takes in strengthening the party". PTI SJR.
